Are you waking up at 2am, 3am or finding it hard to even get to sleep just thinking about your wedding day?  Googling everything you can think of for an unforgettable, stylish wedding can be lots of fun but confusing too so here’s a few words of wisdom and inspiration to help you create your special day.

An autumn wedding celebration will be incredibly stylish and spectacular when you’re armed with a few bright ideas to give you that Central Park New York swank you adore. Think Manhattan Penthouse on Fifth Avenue with amazing floral masterpieces. You could be surrounded by pretty freesias or classy long stem white roses, enough bling to get you seriously celebrating and all those pinch-me moments you’ve been losing sleep over or dreaming about.

“Tami created the bouquets, baskets and buttonholes for our 31 May wedding. I couldn’t have been happier! They were everything we had discussed and the comments flew thick and fast on the evening. I just adore them, a lot of my favourite blooms such as freesias, Japanese chrysanthemums, and lovely foliage to lift the colours. Just brilliant. Thankyou!”. Gina

The Bride

Brides to be dream of their big day to be something new, something different and unique for them and their handsome groom. You want it bespoke right? At Flowers by Tami we love to custom design your floral arrangements just for you.

Autumn is an amazing time of year to pick something just a little bit different than all the rest.  Having an “out-of-season” wedding will exude exclusivity because your flowers will be a nice change so you can show off in style.   The climate will be crisper but on a clear Autumn day, colours and feelings are amplified as you prepare for an amazing day ahead. Adding foliage and fauna to your autumn wedding day celebrations from table pieces to head pieces gives your wedding extra texture because you are weaving in those finer details that are slightly rustic and extremely romantic.

The Groom

Autumn weddings certainly seem to suit the grooms, especially those adorable men who get extremely heated in a hot suit, shirt and tie in the intense hotness of summer.  Your groom will fall in love with you all over again if you surprise him with an Autumn wedding idea (and so will all his groomsmen!)  Once again going with the rustic look for button holes will look so elegant and smart up against any dark coloured suit or shirt, or that crisp white shirt that will stay looking crisp all day long.  Add some special touches when it comes to invitations and decorations but sometimes it’s nice to stay classic when it comes to the groom.

More Hints & Tips

A few hints and tips; start building ideas up for your Autumn wedding early on.  Talk to your florist about your ideas and then they can share theirs too around what flowers are in season. Take notes on all your likes and dislikes because that helps everyone involved follow a process so your big day goes without a hitch.

You might be thinking of hiring a wedding coordinator which is a great idea, but remember as a florist for many years I can certainly put you in touch with extremely credible people who will suit you and your personality down to the ground.  You might like to start building a Pinterest board or other visual tools that contain all your wedding day elements and the more information you can share the better because then there’s no room for error or confusion.

Let me finish off by just saying I love weddings whatever season you plan to celebrate.  I love it just as much getting to know you and your party as we take the journey together towards an amazingly spectacular day.  If you’re ready to get your Autumn wedding day plans underway, I have a whole portfolio of ideas coming your way!
